Television Review – A Day At The Office

Brad Pitt can be such a nice guy, the finest moment in last week’s premier episode of “Take This Job” is when Mr. Pitt pursued by a young photographer who has walked out into traffic to get a good angle warns him: “Watch your back!” He effectively saves the man from being run over so he can live to enjoy the $25,000 he gets for his shots of Mr. Pitt and his wife, Jennifer Aniston, leaving a sushi restaurant that night.

Tonight’s episode, “The Love Connection,” compares the work of a dating service employee and a sex therapist. Dr. Ava Cadell, a clinical sexologist counsels a couple who never want to have sex at the same time, an engaged couple who want to head off future boredom before it begins (using puppets shaped like genitalia) and a man who doesn’t feel confident approaching women (his treatment is hypnosis).

Dr. Cadell’s most lovable client is a man who says he has no intention of getting over his hatred of his abusive father. Dr. Cadell urges him to forgive his father: “When you deal with those deep nightmare issues, they go away. They stop haunting you.”
