You had sex. You enjoyed the sex. Want to ensure it’ll be even hotter next time? Channel you inner John Madden and do a verbal replay with your partner, mentioning what was particularly amazing. You’re building anticipation and making your mate feel appreciated and special, says Ava Cadell, Ph. D., a sex therapist and author of 12 Steps to Everlasting Love. And it burns off adrenaline that might otherwise inspire pot-throwing.


Ask your partner to tell you something about themselves that you don’t know, says Cadell. Then divulge your own tidbit. (Hopefully, neither will involve a coworker and a hotel). The reward will be a more open, playful relationship.
